Priceline "The Take Home Hair Salon" Bag!

It’s that time again! Priceline is having their annual “The Take Home Hair Salon” bag. This is very similar to the beauty bag that they recently had on offer but obviously, this one includes specifically hair products.
This time around Priceline’s deal is for you to spend $40 dollars in store on any of the brands included in the bag, to receive the bag full of various hair care products valued at over $185 dollars!  The deal is on right now! It started on May 10 and continues until 21 May. From what I’ve heard these bags tend to sell out quite quickly! So get into Priceline soon so you don’t miss out.
If you aren’t quite sold on the deal yet, keep reading and I’ll try and convince you of what incredible value this deal is!

So first I had to spend $40 dollars in order to get the hair bag deal. I decided that I spend my money on products that I know for sure I will use and not just ones that I might think are nice to try. Plus, having a look on what was in the hair bag of goodies, it seemed like I’d be getting to try MANY various hair products anyway. I got four different products and spent $42 dollars doing it.

Al’chemy Mandarin Shampoo & Al’chemy Macadamia and wheat protein Conditioner: This is a higher end brand for a drugstore and it costs a bit more then most things you find in the drugstore too. It is free of a lot of the harmful chemicals found in other hair products and it smells realllly good! I have been looking for a change in my shampoo and condidtioner, and as someone who has never really cared what products I use for shampoo and conditioner, I thought it was about time I give these a go!

Klorane Dry Shampoo: I love dry shampoo and a couple of times this year have hoped I had some so I knew I needed to pick some up eventually. I hadn’t heard of this brand but hopefully its good. I have only tried one other dry shampoo so I don’t have a lot to compare it to, so I’ll just see if it has as good results as the last one had!

Scunci 14pc Hair Ties: This really could go without any explanation; I needed more hair ties. These looked good, they are thick, black and not too exciting.

Now I’ll let you in on what’s in the “Take Home Hair Salon” bag. This bag is so heavy! It has so much in it and a lot of things that I don’t think I would have bought myself which is nice to test out and compare to the products I use all the time.

  • Al’chemy Lavender & Anthyllis 24 Hour Intensive Moisture Leave-In Conditioner
  • Apivita Gentle Shampoo for Frequent use with Chamomile Honey
  • Cedel Dry Conditioner Mini
  • Wella Balsam Protection & Shine Conditioner x2
  • Edward Beale Pure Argan Oil
  • Lee Stafford Flat Iron Mist
  • Final Net Mini Hair Spray
  • John Frieda Frizz-Ease Smooth Start Hydrating Shampoo for Curly Hair
  • John Frieda Hair Towel & John Frieda Mirror Compact (It said you were only to receive one of these, but I got both J)
  • John Frieda Root Awakening Health Boosting Leave-In Conditioner
  • Klorane Dry Shampoo Mini
  • Models Prefer Anti Static Carbon Tail Comb
  • Scunci Hair Clip
  • Elvive Treatment for coloured hair*
  • Napro Colour Shine Shampoo for coloured hair*
  • Revlon Coloursilk Hair Colour Voucher *
  • The bag is by Models Prefer and I think it’s a really great one!
I love so much of the stuff that is in this bag and have already loved trying so much of it! I think its amazing value. Everyone needs more shampoo and conditioner and this bag gives you quite a supply!
*The only products I thought weren’t great for me were the colour protect and hair colour voucher. I think most people would be pleased with these but I don’t and don’t want to colour my hair! I gave these three products to my boyfriends mom and she was happy to have them!

There is still lots of time to head over to Priceline and get this deal yourself and I really think its worth it!

Happy Shopping Readers!
XOXOX

ps. Hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day and celebrated the women in your life that mean so much to you and if you are a mother, I hope you felt the love too!

Lust Have It! May 2012

I very recently subscribed to a monthly service called “Lust Have It!”. If you are unaware of this company, or similar services, I will give you a quick run down on how they work.

Lust Have It! is one of several subscription services that offers to their customers a box sent to their down monthly that includes 5-6 luxury beauty, skincare and haircare products. Lust Have It! costs $14.95 monthly (Almost all the other companies have the same price and this includes shipping). These boxes give their purchasers the opportunity to try products that they might not usually have tried as well as luxury products that may be expensive. I know that price is something that often deters me from buying or trying products. Having the chance to try an expensive product and decide if it is something I like before investing in something is such a great option.
After a bit of research into what company I wanted to purchase a subscription from (Bella Box, GlossyBox, JolliBox, and I Love This Box were some of the other options) I found that Lust Have It! was the company for me  because I was really attracted to the brands that they work with. If you are looking to subscribe to a similar service, I’d suggest finding out which brands each service works with and choose the one that you think you’d like the most!
Check out Lust Have It!’s website for all the brands that they work with here:

Now on to this month’s box, my first Lust Have It! experience!
So after so research in April I was aware that there were some issues with shipping. But, after speaking with the owner of the company, Nicci, I was satisfied that I wouldn’t be disappointed with choosing Lust Have It! I was so happy to receive my Lust Have It! box SO quickly!

Inside the Aus Post box was a beautiful bright pink case with the Lust Have It! logo on it. This was great to see and such a nice extra to receive, a huge plus for choosing Lust Have It! over other similar companies.

Opening the case, I looked first for a welcome card, that I knew from various reviews, came inside. This welcome card included a nice update and message from the owner, Nicci, on one side. On the other side was a description of each item in the case, what it was and how much it cost for a full size of the product.

This month, because of some shipping problems from April, more items were included! Bonus! Also included was a Mother’s Day card, which I thought was a very sweet extra!

Now on to the products!!

ModelCo Shine Ultra Lip gloss in Strip Tease: I got this in a full size which is great value! This is a really pretty light pink with a little glitter in it. It is a little sticky, but not like a lot of glosses out there (I’m looking at you Mac Lip Gloss, you are so so sticky!) and it is also is moisturizing. This is a great mix of both and I really like it’s sheer colour! It’s a winner!

Evo The Therapist Calming Shampoo and Conditoner: Evo is an all natural company so they don’t use a lot of the harsh chemicals you find in other hair and skin products.  These samples are 50ml and I think that is a really great size considering the full size is 300ml. I love having sample sizes as they are so perfect to travel with and they are quality, not like the crap you get in hotels! I really look forward to trying these guys out!

Bioderma Crealine H20 Makeup Remover: Bioderma is a French very high-end skin care company and make-up remover is something I use usually when I am wearing a waterproof mascara or eyeliner. This is a really good size, especially as I don’t use it very often. I am really hopeful that this will be a great product and look forward to giving it a go!

Calvin Klein Sheer Beauty Perfume: This is a really sweet smelling perfume. It smells like peaches with a kind of floral quality to it as well. I don’t buy purfumes that often, and stick to a few that I really love. This is a little sample size and I love having these little samples for my bag when I am out and feel I need a little something.

Lush – Dirty Soap: I have never tried any Lush product and was so excited to see this in the little case. If you aren’t aware of this company, Lush uses all natural ingredients. I watched a video on their website (http://www.lush.com.au/shop/info/11/lush-life-we-believe), it is quite long but really shows you how passionate this company is about quality and natural products. This soap smells so great and I can’t wait to try it and see how I like it!

Caron Labortories Bump eRaiser Medi Paste: This was another full size product which I think is such incredible value. This particular lotion had a little tag on it showing that it had own a “best in Beauty” prize. I think this will be something worth trying. My boyfriend, and a lot of other men, often gets some irritation on his neck after shaving and so I will give this to him to try out!

Nicole by OPI Ultimate trend setter’s lacquer: This little mini nail polish looks so good! It’s a really pretty purple colour and with it being a sister company of OPI and can only assume that this will be a really great polish! It is quite small but I rarely use all  the nail polish in the large bottles anyway!
In summary I am really happy about this month’s Lust Have It! and I look forward to what they will come up with next month! I did a video opening of this product and will follow up with a review video on how I liked each product at the end of the month so please have a look and subscribe to my youtube channel so you won’t miss out on my review!

Thanks for reading! And please leave a comment and tell me if you also get Lust Have It! and what differences you have in your cases? Did you like your May case?!

Review: Revlon Colourburst Lipsticks

I have been using this product for a few weeks now, and with four different shades in my collection, I thought it was about time I did a review on them.
Although new to the lipstick game, of the various types I've used I think this brand's best quality is it is super moisturising! Many lipsticks give colour, but usually need a lipgloss overtop as without one, your lips can become very dry. These lipsticks are said to provide "weightless color that feels like a second skin". I agree! You really feel like you are wearing nothing on your lips.

What I don't love about this product is that it doesn't have lasting colour. In a lipstick, that is usually what I am looking for, and this product is so light and moisturising, that it comes off quickly. When I am teaching, I hate to have to re-apply my lipstick and will usually wait until recess or lunch time to do so. This lipstick really needs several applications during the day. But, this negative is also presents positives in my opinion. I don't want to be wearing a very powerful lipstick at school. I think its something that should be saved for my own time and doesn't belong in the classroom. Therefore, I have usually stayed away from any lipstick while teaching. Now that I am getting into lipsticks, I love having these Colourburst Lipsticks to take to school and be able to use while I am teaching. Although I may have to re-apply, I still think that's better then nothing at all!

The Revlon website all says that the product is "available in 20 gorgeous shades, including 5 new shades!", this means many beautifully moisturising colours to choose from. As I mentioned I have four colours in my collection; Candy Pink 008, Rosy Nude 065, Pink Sugar 006, and Ruby 085.

I love all of these colours for their own reasons!
Candy Pink is such a vibrant pink. It reminds me of a barbie pink and I love wearing it with other bright colours like bright green pants! (This colour just might be my fav!)

Rosy Nude is, in my opinion, a really nice neutral for my skin tone. I think its a colour that will look so nice in the fall/winter with so many of the clothes I already have.

Pink Sugar is very light. It is a nice option when you are looking for a little shimmer of glitter but if you put too many layers on, it starts to look too white on my skin tone. I would suggest this colour for someone with a lighter skin tone then I have.

Ruby is a beautiful true red colour. Other reds I own are no where near as moisturising, so this is a great option. This is a colour I will likely wear with a lipliner and I think its going to have an awesome effect!

I really like this line of lipsticks by Revlon! I think they have awesome packaging; the matte quilted effect on the outside is really attractive and the colour on the top makes it easy to find the colour you are looking for. These run for $23.95AUD a piece and I got three of these for free so its hard for me to say that they are worth the money. I think they are a bit on the expensive side for a drugstore brand but have loved using them so far.
