My Adorebeauty.com.au WishList!

Lately I have been so mindful of my spending! As it gets later and later into the year I am becoming more aware of all the expenses that come along with living on the other side of the world! I have to buy plane tickets, pay for visas, gifts, etc. I know its more then half a year away, but its all certainly on my mind.

This spending freeze (not completely!) doesn't stop me from making a wish list on various websites! I was looking through my favourite blogs this morning and saw Lou's post on her dream products and having several wishlists hanging around myself, I thought I'd also share!

My newest website love is adorebeauty.com.au. It is an Australian website (obviously ".au") and carries all sorts of brands that aren't easy to get in Australia, especially if you live in a tiny little country town (I'm not even sure under 1000 people can be called a town! ha!) like me! They have reasonable prices, sometimes even less then I find in stores when I'm in "the big city", a great and easy to use website (I hate hate hate bad websites and have zero patience with them), and give you lots of little extras depending on what you buy (so don't forget to look at the "Gifts With Purchase" section).

So here's my little Wishlist of products:

I literally have less then one more use in my current tub of this baby and it makes me so so sad because my hair LOVES this stuff. Nothing makes my hair more soft and beautiful and basically make it feel like I've just had my hair trimmed! It is pretty expensive though and I've been holding off buying it for that reason! Not sure how much longer I can last! AHH!

Adorebeauty.com.au has this awesome service where basically you can ask a Skincare expert any questions you might have. While browsing facebook yesterday (as you do), my feed showed me that their Skincare expert was online and happy to answer any questions for the next hour (I've seen this several times before but thought I'd go for it). I asked for a product that would be good to cover blemishes without making them worse and this was her suggestion. It looks so good, but the price is HIGH! I think this might be one of those things I put on my wishlist and it never leaves the wishlist section, I HOPE NOT!

I don't and never have owned a good concealer! I have heard great things about benefit's concealers but don't really know which one is for me. This product looks perfect for someone looking to try a few different items and see what's right for them! It is a tad expensive, so maybe I'll wait until I'm in another country and buy it there but I'm not sure I can wait that long and its so tempting to think I could have it this week!

I love this blush! I think its a great colour and it has super cute packaging (as most Benefit products do). Many people talk about this product and I wanna talk about it too! BUT again, the Australian prices make me think it might be part of a Benefit haul from afar, noooooo!

I have basically the same things to say about this as I did about CORALista. I'll add that I love that this bronzer doesn't have any shimmer to it, I think it would be sure a natural product to wear and would be great for teaching!

I really like this look for this lotion. It is a cold dry winter here in Australia (not dry outside as its been a week since I put my washing out and has rained EVERYDAY! But dry as in my skin is!). I really need a good lotion to hydrate my skin and might as well do double duty and firm me up too!

This product is so expensive! AH! After almost a solid month since I started using the Alpha-H Liquid Gold, I can honestly say it is the single most effective skincare product I've ever used. A definite Holy Grail item that I am sure to repurchase. I now have a lot of trust for the Brand and am confident that this product for the day will be amazing. It has Hyaluronic Acid in it, which is said to pull the moisture from the air and hydrate your skin. It is targeted for an older cliental, so it would work more as a preventative treatment, but this expensive serum might be more of a dream then a wish, & a girl can dream!

So there you have it, my adorebeauty.com.au Wishlist. If you are a beauty/skincare/makeup/haircare lover like myself and living in Australia, I'd really suggest giving this website a look. I'm sure you'll quickly fill up a Wishlist of products you'll lust after too (not to mention that you can easily email said wishlist ;) )!

What products are you currently lusting over?!

Review: Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2-in-1 Cleanser/Mask

I've read LOTS about this product online from other bloggers and youtubers (Amodelrecommends, etc.). With it only costing $13.99AUD I took note of it being a product I might look into.

After filming my skincare first impressions video I noticed that I wasn't really doing much to combat my acne. I don't have cystic acne but I do get a lot of breakouts and basically will always have at least one blemish to worry about. I am happy with my very new skincare regime, so I didn't really want to change it so soon into starting it. I am a firm believer in really giving products a chance to work and therefore using them for at least a month before passing judgement (unless of course they really irritate me or I have a bad reaction).

This Neutrogena product I bought to use as a mask, a great way to add it into my routine without disturbing what I am already doing. This mask is clay based and also contains salicylic acid, both great ways of helping to reduce blemishes. It also is a five minute mask, which means that it dries quickly. Because It is a cleanser as well, I find the best way to remove this mask is with a towel, flannel or muslin cloth that has been soaked in hot water and wiped over the face slowly to remove the majority of the product.  To be a good blogger, I tested what would happen by just splashing warm water on my face to remove the mask. As I feared, this was a foamy mess! It being a foaming cleanser, adding water means you start lathering up the product and it makes removal SO much more difficult (oh the things I do for research!). Also, using the product as a mask means using about 5X more product then I would if I were just using it as a cleanser, hence the foamy mess!
I love the tingly feeling you get when you first put this mask on, you can really feel it working. I also love how soft and lovely my face feels after. With any product containing salicylic acid, it can be drying for someone with drier skin, but it mostly works well for me apart from a few drier areas that sometimes I avoid (the woes of combination skin).

Neutrogena says:
"Neutrogena rapid clear- 2-in-1- cleanser/mask is a unique daily cleanser that can be used in two different ways to help fight breakouts. It contains salicylic acid and natural clay minerals to help control oil and cleanse deeply, so skin looks clearer and healthier. Use as a daily cleanser to remove make-up, dirt and excess oil and help prevent breakouts. Use as an intensive 5-minute mask to cleanse deep down into pores and condition skin, leaving it soft, smooth and healthy-looking."
Overall, I really like this product and think its well priced and does what it says it does. The raves from other bloggers, etc. is right on with this one and if you are in the market for an acne fighting mask, look for this at your local pharmacy etc.

Why can't I buy this book?!

While Skyping with my sisters (one in Toronto and one in Paris - the life of living overseas with a huge family!), they both raved about a book I hadn't heard about.

After looking for this book in every store I could think of, I'm pretty sure I've been living under a rock! "Fifty Shades of Grey" by E L James is impossible to get!! It is a new book (2011) which is technically fan-fiction ("stories about characters or settings written by fans of the original work") and in this case based off of Stephanie Myer's Twilight Saga (heard of it?).

Now I have mixed feelings about Twilight, I loved reading the books, and read them within the span of a week back in early 09 but I also realise (as an english teacher) that they aren't written very well and apart from her ability to character profile well, the story is addictive, but pretty rubbish! That being said, I have since seen all the movies and am now really curious what all the hype is about this new trilogy! (See MIXED FEELINGS!). This book is SUPER popular but also is getting similar reviews by academics as Twilight received, those reviews in a nut shell say its crap, but sometimes I don't want to read a high acclaimed book! Its like all the rubbish I watch on TV, I don't watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians to fill my mind with knowledge, its because sometimes, I wanna watch a bit of crap!

I have now been to Target, KMart, Angus & Robinson, David Jones, Myer & a few other smaller book stores to try and find this darn book!! I did however find the last book in the trilogy "Fifty Shades Freed" and decided to get it knowing that eventually I will have to get all 3.
Another interesting point I might mention is that this book is categorised as Erotica! Not something I am used to reading honestly, but hey, why not?! Maybe that's why I can't get it?!

Have you heard of this book and haven't been living under a rock like me? Have you read it?! What did you think about it?! AND Where can I get it?!!!
